Guild Wars 2 Launch Times
August 28th, 2012—the day Guild Wars 2 launches—is fast approaching.
Everyone is anxiously counting the days. We are so excited!
With Headstart Access right around the corner, we need to organize and figure out which world you want to play on.
Worlds are the servers or hosts which users connect to in order to play Guild Wars 2. There are currently 42 worlds: 18 are based in the US and 24 in the EU.

Each world is named after a location in the world of Tyria except for those marked with footnotes, which are named after the following people:
    1 After ArenaNet employee Kevin Ehmry
    2 Named after a fan, Roger "Oldroar" Rall
    3 After ArenaNet employee Chris Whiteside
Players will be able to visit other worlds as guests as long as they have friends on those worlds. This feature is free, but guest players will not be able to enter World versus World PvP and the power of the Mists bonuses from their home world will continue to apply to their characters.
